Facile Perth is hosting an interactive ‘Joy in the Community’ workshop featuring guest speaker and facilitator Paul Born.
A coach, consultant and community conversations facilitator, per his website, Bonn is the author of five books and is a sought-after speaker.
“We want community members to come, so we ensure our communities remain inclusive and celebrate all of the work that has been done,” said Mirjam Schut, lead independent facilitator at Facile Perth.
“Thrilled to be coming to Stratford to engage with issues of inclusion and belonging,” Born told StratfordToday. “We can create the world we want if we learn to work together. Communities that collaborate well are the most livable for all.”
Schut said she hopes all members of the community can learn something from the event, and that everyone is welcome. Young artists (ages 12-21) who would like to showcase their work, or anyone with an inspiring story around inclusive communities is asked to reach out ahead of the event.
That is in addition to students and community members already set to showcase their art with themes of inclusion.
There is no charge for admission. The event runs Nov. 21 from 1-5 p.m. at the Local Community Food Centre in Stratford.
